Long Overdue Mega-Post

Back before Thanksgiving (yes, that long ago), Enid and I made sugar cookies with orange sugar and tiny pumpkins. She seemed to really love them, but I think the pure sugar pumpkin candies are what she was after.

Enid and Caitlyn painted a couple of pumpkins for Thanksgiving. I had forgotten that there were pictures!

If any of you are wondering what Enid spent birthday money on... Candyland, a couple of puzzles, and these. The rest is in the bank.

The cats are being their usual selves. They found favorite spots right away and seem to sleep and eat more and more. I think it's backwards for humans, eh? They love snuggling with the old stuffed cats I had when I was younger.

Here's the Amazing Wasabini doing his feline pretzel act.

Enid made a foamie Rudolph with one eye. We couldn't find the second one, and now that we have it we keep forgetting to attach it. She says "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" is her favorite song and book. Although she LOVES the old stop-motion Rudolph movie, she claims "12 Dancing Princesses" is her favorite movie.

I've been a little crafty myself. I participated in another Red Velvet Art swap. This time, we did ornaments. I made sushi from felt. Here are the main trio... shrimp, salmon roll, and tamago.

Enid and I put up Granny and PaPa's tree. It was much easier this year, but she still managed to break two ornaments.

She was at Aunt Deana's house for at least a half hour before she noticed the tree. It was like it magically appeared. Here she is hamming with Patrick and Samantha. Tomorrow night, we're going to Cooper's Elementary for their Christmas program. I hope Enid isn't her usual handful-self.

A couple of weeks ago, Enid wrote a wish list for Santa.

She gave it to him in the mall, and he asked her about it. She didn't say much of anything. The smile in this picture is a farce. She was just as blank before and after as she could be.

Nikko sent her a play sushi set for Christmas. When Enid saw the box she got excited. "What did I get from the post office?!?" Then when she saw what was inside the box, she just about jumped for joy. "I'm so happy to see my sushi!!!" She plays with it a lot, and she's even been using her teapot with it all on her own. She tries to get the pieces to her mouth with the little chopsticks and gets frustrated sometimes.

Sunday, we took her to the park beside Nash Central Middle School. The whole way there, she talked about the swings. Then when we arrived, she barely rode them at all.

She sure is happy to have her PaPa around... Granny too of course, but she's hard to catch on film like Big Foot.

Thanks, Aimee! I found out I can make lots more quicker if I glue more than stitch!
