Words of Wisdom & Other Updates

I've had a couple of friends ask me where I find the quotes that I use.  KellieD. is a self proclaimed "quote ho", and I think as she knows you can Google TONS of them out there.  I find ones I like by accident on sites sometimes, and I have a folder of them saved for email and blog purposes.  They come in handy when making a point as a Child Advocate as well.  Yet again I find myself quoting Rae Pica.  This time, it's from her blog.  It's long, but well worth the space.

I am officially a full-time Stay-at-Home Mom again.  I have no complaints and very little stress of any kind... ever.  Now when college courses are upon me, I may pipe a different tune.  

Enid has now decided she wants to be a fire truck when she grows up.  She can imagine what she'd do as a fire truck and who she'd help.  I am beyond ecstatic that she is so creative.  Is it really nature or nurture?  The truth may always elude us.

PS:  I had forgotten how backwards (for lack of better word) some things are done in NC.  The DMV is yet another reason I prefer Wilson to Rocky Mount.  It's a entirely different world there.  Oh... and of course there's the Carmike theater where it seems we're well on our way to being recognized.
