Nog, Enid, and a Field Trip

I'm keen on Silk's Pumpkin Nog, but I haven't found any this year.  I'm not a big fan of soy milk though.  (If in the presence of a milk substitute, it's normally rice milk for me.) Several days ago, I was lucky enough to enjoy this.  Wowee good.

Let me just say that these days, this is what being around Enid feels like.

I am more amazed than ever at Enid's drawing development. The other night she drew this dog on her Doodle Pro. You can see her pointing at his collar, and I think he has eyelashes. Wow.

Enid and I joined in on Samantha's 4th grade field trip yesterday in the icky rain. It was Heritage Days at the local Farmer's Market. Cooperative Extension agents, 4H representatives, and lots of volunteers did a pretty good job of showing how things used to be done in NC. There were honey bees, baby chicks, quilting, spinning, apple cider making, milking of a fake cow, laundry & soap making, how cotton, soy beans, peanuts, and sweet potatoes grow, grinding corn, water pump & outhouse, basket weaving, butter making (which Enid now wants to do for Thanksgiving... yum), and lots more! It made me even more excited about a degree in Family & Consumer Sciences, and I'd like to think that some of the kids learned a thing or two.

Ohhhh, I love Silk's pumpkin nog. I haven't seen it this year either, perhaps they no longer make it?

I totally see the dog, and it's eyelashes. :)

Cute picture of Enid with the baby chick.

Okay, so what I found yesterday at a Target in Knightdale was Pumpkin Spice Silk, but it's not noggy.
