Photos of Snow and Such
Enid has been growing in all sorts of ways since Xmas... No more pacis, no more sippy cups, no more crib, potty training, rarely the use of her blue seat... As Samantha said at 2, she "not a baby", she's "a little girl!" We've been letting her practice with a regular cup for some time, and sometimes she does much better than others. For now, we're sticking with straw cups when she's not being helped. She is "reading" books more than anything these days, but she sure likes to build with her unit blocks and train set. AND - Of course she's still dressing up. She was a total mix-match when I snapped the photo below! Oh! Oh! Oh! AND she's been using the potty more and more! After about three days of being a bit weary, she got used to it.
On Sunday, it started to snow while we were in Fredericksburg eating lunch. Enid was sooo excited that she didn't nap at all that afternoon! Our welcome gnome is a good idea of how much snow we got. It was at 1in when we were outside, and it snowed for about 5 hours. Enid thought tasting the snow was the funniest thing ever... we tried to make snow cream, but it was too icy. It was also too icy to make a good snowman, so Enid and Gerald packed snow into buckets and made one like you would a sand castle. I gave him a bird seed face, bird seed and leaves for hair, twiggy arms, and Enid's shovel. When we came inside the house, Enid literally cried and cried to go back out! She's been wearing her snow boots on and off since!
