The Mountainous Trip to the Mountains
Last weekend we went to Wirtz, VA for Grandpa's (DadZ) 75th birthday. Here's a summary.
Their cat, Nikki, is such a meower. Check out that fur!

Next door to Grandma & Grandpa's is a horse named Jess. Enid fed her some apple and pear, and she sat on her back. When Daddy asked if she was ready to get down, she said, "No, not yet!!"

Enid LOVES educational games, so Caitlyn showed off her new computer.

I just thought this was cool... Grandma's knitting needles.

They also played dress-up... A LOT. Enid says, "It's wickety wack!"

Saturday, they rented a pontoon boat. Enid actually got in the lake with Daddy, but she said she likes the pool better. She sat with Uncle Bob for a long time and "drove the boat"! And no, of course I did not get in the water.

Grandpa's cake had a picture of him as a little boy on it. It was pretty good. Here's proof.

Before we left Sunday, the whole gang that came to town met at McDonald's for breakfast. We don't eat McD's, and Enid had never stepped foot in one. We bought breakfast at Hardee's and took it there to meet them!!

We took a different route home, and I got to take a few shots before it rained. It rains almost every time we travel. I thought these new buses were interesting. I hadn't seen that kind before. They had NC plates on them. By the way, I do not enjoy driving through the mountains, but in the fall it is GORGEOUS.

Here are a couple of photos I just haven't gotten around to posting. ENJOY!
"I'm looking for clues."

"I'm eating Burger King" for breakfast. Recently, we've been opting for no highchair when the meal is simple, but we still don't trust Enid in a booster much. This is from two weekends ago... before we headed to NC.
