Less Stuff Seems Like More... and more and more and more...
Most of you know that in the month ahead, I've got my work cut out for me. It's going to be odd living normally but having to pack as well. I'm not even sure I'm making sense or that at this point it matters. It's sinking in finally, but no, AmyV, I'm not freaking out... yet!
Every time we move, we have less books, but I swear it seems like it takes more effort to pack them. Once again, I'm listing several on Amazon. Within the first two days, I've sold 3 books!! That's going to help lower the count, and the tiny bit of extra money never hurts.
All of our clothes that didn't sell at the yard sale or consignment shop are going to charity, and after Thanksgiving, my pots and pans are outta here! They've pretty much lasted for 6.5 years, which isn't bad considering they aren't top of the line by any means. They've been used a ton, that's for sure!
We might even sell the glider rocker that's in Enid's room. We originally bought it for our apartment when we first moved to VA Beach back in 2001. One arm is a little rickety, but it's in good shape otherwise.
I'm donating what's left of my art and scrapbooking magazines to Lake of the Woods MOPS. Our Discovery Toys consultant is their coordinator, and I also know her from the preschool. She said they have a scrapbooking event coming up in a couple of months, so I know they'll go to good use.
Hmmm... There's gotta be some other stuff to weed out of here, but I don't know just what it will be yet!
