Halloweenie Good Times
We went to my friend's (Tammy) Halloween party this past weekend. There was tons of food... chili, mummy dogs, chicken, shrimp, veggies, cupcakes... you name it! Enid really seemed to enjoy herself, and she got to try a Butterfinger and some "real" punch for the first time (no, not alcoholic). There were mostly big kids there, but she tried to join in everything they did. It was a hoot watching her!
Here's their son pushing her on the swing. She told him the chicken butt joke. It was hilarious... to her!

They have so many cool Halloween decorations! Enid wasn't sure about some of them. She was a little leery at first.

Later on in the night, her big thing was gathering up all of the balloons that were floating around the house. She was sooo wound up by then!

This morning, we went on a preschool field trip to Belvedere Plantation. All of the rain last week forced them to postpone a lot of schools until today. They were closed to the public, but they were loaded with kids! It was a great place, but I'm glad we held off and didn't go last year. The prices are just beyond what I'm comfortable with!
We were greeted by "farmers" and saw LOTS of scarecrows.

The first attraction was the hayride. It was cold.

On the way to the pumpkin patch, we saw lots of corn (there's a corn maze).

I was amazed at how many pumpkins they still have! It was unreal.

We got to pick 3 for free... one for each of us. Enid fell right into the mud of course, but we got some good pumpkins.

Another attraction was the animals. Here's Enid checking out the pigs, a goose, and some sheep.

Enid got to feed a goat and a cow! That cow licked her hand and boy was that icky! Thank goodness they have hand-washing stations.

After the field trip and a yummy lunch at Foster's Grille, we scoped out SuperTarget for Halloween clearance. There wasn't much on clearance yet, but we got some free entertainment. Enid LOVES the echo microphones they sell at Target (Santa knows!). Ger and I were at the opposite end of the aisle and we heard Enid singing loud and clear.
Let me just point out that she simply learned the first two songs from hearing the "singing animals" at Target sing them on an end cap. Check the links below for videos! In case you can't tell what words she's singing...
"don't turn around, uh-oh"
"dun-dun dun-dun dun dun dun-dun dun-dun"... you know, from that Gotta Move On song. Yes, that's me laughing hysterically in the background!
"Stirring in my witches' brew, I got magic, Alakazamakazoo!" I LOVED that song as a kid, but these are the only words I remembered, so that's what I taught her! On this one, you can hear Gerald laugh as well. I think he was laughing at Enid laughing at herself.
The kitties had a check-up Friday, including a booster shot. They had some blood work, which was all normal, and their hearts were monitored. It's all in preparation for the big "D"... they get declawed next month.
I had barely gotten the package of pull-ups out of the box when Wasabi jumped right in!

I never get enough of them being snuggly together.
