Eleven Ideas for What to Give
This list is from a CareNotes for Kids pamphlet I picked up at Enid's preschool. Can you believe it? Well, I did. AND After reading it, I realized that Enid has done lots of these things in one way or another at some point in time. It takes more effort to be negative and unsociable, and Enid is learning that for herself.

Giving presents doesn't mean just giving neat toys or things that can be wrapped in pretty paper. Here are 11 other really nice things to give:
- Draw a picture for Grandpa.
- Help Mom or Dad bake cookies.
- Donate money to help children whose families have very little.
- Help your parents take cans of food to the food bank.
- Visit a nursing home.
- Sing in a church choir.
- Send homemade Christmas cards.
- Be nice to someone you may not like very much.
- Give your brother or sister a big Christmas hug.
- Do the dishes after Christmas dinner.
- Say a prayer for someone who may not be having a merry Christmas, because of sickness or suffering.

Great list! I agree that kids need to learn to be charitable and give in many ways--time, love, working, etc. Good lessons!
