Moving, Mother's Day, Pulmonary Function

I sneakily took this photo one day last week. Enid sat on the screened porch reading and playing (with nothing) for a long time while I was working inside the house cleaning and unpacking some things.

During all the driving back and forth and moving prep, I forgot to post about the Mother's Day pancake brunch we had in Enid's preschool class. The kids had practiced taking our orders and serving us. It was all very cute.

Enid had her Pulmonary Function Test and some blood drawn for allergy testing yesterday, but we haven't heard from the doctor. Her doctor, Dr. Kubicki, is actually the only doctor in their "chain" of offices that reads PFTs, so that's good for us. He said she might simply have lower lung capacity due to preemie lungs and has just adapted to it. During testing, she had to blow into the computer several times, rest, then exercise, blow some more, then rest, then use an inhaler, and finally blow some more. The entire process took and about an hour. He's hoping that allergy testing will tell us whether or not something in particular triggers her "reactive airways". She hasn't been tested for allergies since she was a baby in GA, and they never found anything.

This weekend, Gerald and I are headed to Williamsburg for our 9th anniversary. Then next weekend we will be moving what's left into the Morrisville house while Enid stays with Grandma and Grandpa in VA. Who knows what or when I will post next!
