Finishing up October... finally!!
Okay, so I'm taking a break from homework to post some old photos. Class is going well by the way. It's a lot to remember... a lot! I don't think I learned half of this stuff in all my years in band and show choir.
Enid's fall fairy Halloween costume started out as a family affair. MomZ and I cut out the fabric by a pattern, then Gerald helped us sew. We had tandem sewing machines going! MomZ took everything home with her that weekend and finished it up. We agreed to several changes in the pattern, and it turned out awesome!! Enid wears it for dress-up now. Oh yeah... fabric is not cheap any more. Sometimes it IS cheaper to buy stuff. I did what I usually do and threw together stuff I owned mostly and was a gypsy. I had, however, bought a jangly scarf thing from the Greek Festival, so I made noise everywhere I went.

Trick-or-treating was a bummer. Enid complained after the first few houses, but I think she was scared of a few decorations she had seen. She was less afraid when she was younger. I think her imagination is more evolved now. haha It was so humid that when I got home I was sweating! We didn't get very many trick-or-treaters here, but being a new neighborhood it was to be expected. I don't think there are many kids around here anyway. Enid and I actually walked to the neighborhood down the road behind us. It's huge.

The weekend before Halloween and Gerald's birthday, we had a costume party for both. Of course the majority of our guests were party poopers and didn't dress up, but we had a blast. SarahJ. was an awesome nerd, KathyB. was the Scream guy, and Gerald was a guy from the Nerd Herd at Buy More. If you've never seen the TV show "Chuck", you might not get it. Just think about Geek Squad at Best Buy (but way funnier). Enid and I wore the Halloween costumes above.

To finish off the month of October, here's our nature table. I'll post a little more about it on the art blog.
