March 2011 Recap
Even though we've had our "shoe bench" for ages, Wasabi discovered it's hiding places back in March.

Also back in March, Enid and I took a little trip to Prairie Ridge Ecostation in Raleigh to meet up with some new friends. It's not technically a public park, but it's owned by the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, and they are happy to share it. There's a research facility and an outdoor classroom along with lovely natural habitats. Enid said her favorite parts were walking in the rocky stream and building gnome homes. (see the art blog for my favorite photo from that day)

Here are some photos from the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day Parade & Festival. I tried my best to curl Enid's hair, but her hair is like mine and doesn't like being curled. Earlier that week I did a trial run, and it wasn't so great. Then I worked a little harder and longer on it the night before the big day. She slept on it over night in order to help it curl, and then I sprayed it a ton before the parade hoping it would last. As you can see, it flopped some by the end of the day, but it did okay overall.

Enid's solo dance during the street performance

By the time the street performance was over, the wind was sweeping in, and we were all pooped and ready for dinner. BUT We couldn't pass up one last pose.
