Overwhelmed on Valentine's Day

That's how I feel when I try to figure out how to get photos where I want them on the iMac and then edit them the way I want. Aperture 2.0 has been ordered, so hopefully, I'll get everything under control.

Okay so...

I didn't take a photo of Enid mailing Valentines at the post office, because the drop box was so high on the wall that I had to lift her up to reach it. For a brief moment, I missed the post office in Locust Grove (hanging head in shame). I did, however, get a shot of her making them. I helped her write the list of who she was making them for before we started, and it was all her choosing. At first, she said "Inari & Wasabi", but I convinced her that since they can't read, we should save the envelope for someone else.

Yes, that's a wipe box you see.  When we bought wipes at BJ's, they came in cases, so we had lots of extra boxes.  We use them to store markers and crayons et cetera.  AND Yes, those are basketball/sports pajamas.  I let Enid pick the ones she wanted, and she passed up pink colored ones and animal stuff for those.  You see her in PJs a lot.

She amazes me with how well she writes her name sometimes. Even before she turned 3, it looked pretty good. I taught kids in PreK (and I mean at the END of the year) who still couldn't write their names legibly by any means. This example is in the middle of her skill.

Enid has really been in the Valentine spirit this year. She wants everything she eats to be heart shaped and she keeps telling everyone she loves them. She does that a lot anyway.

Yesterday, Enid and I spent what felt like the entire afternoon making cookies. She got right in there and rolled the dough into little balls along with me. Oh yeah, and they taste pretty good. I seem to use a different sugar cookie recipe every time, and this is probably the best.

Enid said first thing this morning that she hoped she was getting another pony. Grandma and Grandpa had sent her one of the regular-sized Valentine My Little Ponies, so she wants them all now. What she got from us was enough...  a 3-pack of Valentine Ponyville ponies, some Spiderman chocolate, Valentine stampers (Did I mention that I love Target's $1 spot??), candy heart stickers, and the book "I Love You Stinky Face".

Later after the Ponyville package had been thrown away, she set the ponies out EXACTLY like they had been inside it. I can't even remember if my memory was ever that good. That's how bad my memory is now.

Here's the gift Enid and Gerald gave me. It looks delicious, but we haven't opened it yet. Oh how I long to return to Busch Gardens and partake in one of their fine white fudge apples. They don't put caramel on first like everyone else... just white fudge and cinnamon sugary goodness. Aaaahhhhh....

I hope everyone is having a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!
