I'm thoroughly amused.

The local newspaper (don't get me started on how wonderful it isn't) just printed an insert of "the best" in over 100 categories. It tells you a lot about our area/society when McDonald's and Pizza Inn were voted "Best Kids Menu".

After flipping through the first few pages and coming across an ad from "The Best Day Care Center", I realized a major flaw in the voting process. Of course Stone Park Child Care won! They have three locations and serve numerous families. If every family using child care voted for their own child care, then it's logical the one with more families would win. It by no means shows they are actually the best. I would never even consider sending my child to them. It's not an option for many reasons.
