Elmo, Lego, Fun-O
Pretty soon I'll probably post about moving and/or photos of the house, but not now. Not in the mood.
We took Enid to the premiere performance for "Sesame Street Live: When Elmo Grows Up" last night at the RBC Center, and I think there were more people at my high school graduation than there was for the show. (You think it was because it was a Thursday??) She didn't ask to buy anything until intermission when she said she was hungry. Pricing for all of the so-called souvenirs just cracks me up, and the Elmo balloons they were selling were exactly the same as Enid had for her 1st birthday, but I digress. We got tickets for the 5th row at almost half off ($12) for the opening night, and I'm STILL flabbergasted that people paid about $30 in the Gold Circle to sit closer. I think all they got was a stiff neck looking up. Oh, and the security people had to keep making the unsupervised Gold Circle toddlers (yes, that's what I said) get back to their seats so the characters wouldn't clobber them by accident. Enid loved it, which is all that matters.
Tomorrow we're headed to the Lego Store grand opening. We haven't been in a Lego store since we lived in VA, and now that Enid loves Legos too, it should be fun! Sunday is the FREE "2009 Got to Be NC Festival" at the state fairgrounds. We saw part of it last night as we drove past leaving the RBC Center. This weekend is booked.
Homebodies during the week. World Travelers on weekends. Or something like that.
