Enid Funnies

I'm still not sure if Enid was saying this on purpose or not, but... I thought she was saying the word "automatically" a little funny, but I didn't realize until a couple of days ago that she's actually been saying "automagically"! How funny is that?!? I asked her about it, but her answer wasn't clear so who knows!

We've been reading more school-age books. I try to pick ones that I know will be appropriate for Enid, even though they're meant for older children to read. Her favorite was Secret Garden until we started reading Matilda, and now she has an invisible friend named Matilda (I think she has magic powers). Anyway, the other night before we began reading the next chapter, Enid flipped ahead and saw an illustration of the school principal character, Ms Trunchbull. She said, "Hey mommy, Ms Hunchback is in the next one!" I laughed so hard that I couldn't stop giggling again and again once I began reading. That's funny stuff. She is kind of like a hunchback!

Enid makes up songs ALL the time. Monday, I managed to jot down what she was singing while she was looking out her bathroom window. Here it goes.

"when the wind softly blows in the afternoon
it whispers in my ear and it gives me enough shade

oh get myself back together agaaaaaaiiinnnn"

Sometimes they are much more creative and amusing, but I never seem to remember them or capture the essence. I bet there's hidden meaning in there somewhere....
