January Came & Went

I am slowly getting caught up on posting some of this stuff! Woohoo!

We took Enid to the NC Museum of History to see the Barbie exhibit. She enjoyed it, but there wasn't much there. Gerald and I were disappointed. We walked around briefly so I could ogle at the awesome furniture, stitchery, and quilts et cetera. There's so much to discover from other people's handiwork. We didn't do any of the exhibits that you have to pay for... not worth it at this point... but Enid got to pretend she was a pirate.

Since Enid was "discharged" from physical therapy back at the end of fall, we wanted to continue giving her a little extra activity outside of home and preschool. I had looked into a few different Irish dance classes, because that's really what she wanted to do and it was exciting to me too. (there's always a but isn't there?) They were really short classes that we'd have to drive a distance to get to them, and then some were very expensive when you had to buy costumes. So, I went back to the drawing board and looked at what was being offered at the community center down the road from us. Kindermotion did not have enough kids to hold a session, so we opted for Kinderdance instead. It's not what I would have liked her to do, but it was the best option for now. She really enjoys it, and even with her lack of coordination and balance at times, she's pretty good at it!

Enid told me that since I was turning 33, I needed a picture of myself to remember I was 33. Here it is! Notice how she never draws my glasses?

I know this isn't the clearest photo, but it's good enough to tell how full my curio cabinet has gotten. I got a few fairies for Christmas and then got two more for my birthday! It's a pain to dust, but I love 'em!

What's a post without the kitties? Here's Inari storming the castle. I told Enid that she was pretending to be Godzilla, but she had no idea who that was. She said she was really a giant trying to eat all of the garden, and that makes a lot more sense.

This week is a little slack for me as far as school work goes, so now it's quiet time. I might read, crochet, heck I might even watch a movie!
