Spring Planting Festival
This past Thursday, Seedlings had its Spring Planting Festival. I must say, the potluck collection was the best potluck food I've ever had. I was impressed. There was asparagus quiche, black bean salad, broccoli salad, hummus & veggies, blueberry muffins, orzo salad, and we took a huge bowl of fresh fruit salad (2 kinds of grapes, pineapple, strawberries).
As the parents were arriving, Mrs. Jana did a story with her nature table about the root babies. Doesn't Enid look enthused? She's actually very involved and imaginative.

Enid made a wet felted tulip and planted her own grass basket like this one. It's doing pretty well.

The kids did an awesome performance for everyone, then we headed outside to plant. (Just click on image to see video larger.)

Mrs. Jana put Enid in charge of 2 green bell pepper plants, and she had chose marigolds from the grocery store to take.

Enid is going to Seedlings for "summer camp", but next year we will truly miss it!
