Michaelmas at EWS 2011
Earlier this week, I donned my red and took some leave time to attend the Michaelmas festival at Enid's school. Here's a brief rundown with photos.
The grades (1-8) children all crossed the street to the athletic field under high school guard. Here's Enid's arrival.

George tamed the dragon instead of slaying him.

Then the high school students did this awesome display with their wooden "swords". They wove them together over and over again, adding more each time, until they were all used. I think they started with a five-pointed star.

Afterwards, everyone (families & guests included) joined in a spiral. Here it is as it wound down... no pun intended.

When it was all said and done, everyone enjoyed some dragon bread. He was rather cute with his fire made of peppers, wasn't he?

Here's Enid's class headed back to school with a basket of bread.

It was a lovely afternoon, but I did have to go back to work!
