Vacation, Cats, & Nerdy Socks
To start things off, here’s Enid sitting inside the laundry basket playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii. She’s totally our child.

Well, our trip to the Hampton Roads area went well. Granny and PaPa were there the first few days, and before they headed home, we got a photo.

We got to visit Aunt Irene, Jeff & Erica & Felix, Ryan & Tra, John & Mary & boys, and we met Dave & Amy & Keegan for dinner. We shopped and ate some good food… Gerald and I even got out to see Pirates 3! (I’m sure most of you know, but stay and watch after the credits.)
We took Enid to the indoor pool ONCE, because that thing wasn’t heated in the slightest! BRRRRRR!

The second day, we went to Busch Gardens Europe. Enid seemed to really enjoy herself, but her focus was on the carousel. She OBSESSES over all carousels. Here are some other highlights.
We wanted to make sure Enid at least SAW the ocean, so we took her out at VA Beach. Enid said “It was too hot.” It WAS already pretty warm early that morning, so we weren’t out there long… the sand could toast you.

After returning home, we went to the Orange County Animal Shelter and saw lots of kitties and some very loud dogs. There was a mama cat and four kittens that were waiting to be fixed so they could be adopted. We chose two of those. We’ve been fostering them, and today I had to take them back to be fixed. I guess by the end of the week we’ll have officially adopted them. I have been joking for a while about naming a cat Sushi, and although the names we chose are related, they are much more fitting.
Enid is so excited about the kitties… sometimes she can’t contain herself! She’s been crawling under our bed after them, crying when we make her leave the room, asking to see them as soon as she wakes in the morning, trying to brush them… Man, and I thought she was a handful BEFORE the cats!

One more thing… Who taught Enid how old men prefer their socks???
