October is Busy Busy Busy
Enid just said, "Mommy, my airplane hurts." and pointed to her forehead. She thinks it's hilarious.
I realized earlier that we have TONS of stuff going on this month... Enid had school photos and her flu shot this week, she has an eye exam next week, her bday happenings are coming up, there's a field trip to Belvedere Plantation, a preschool Halloween party, Vera Bradley Bingo at the preschool, an annual chili party, a pumpkin festival, trick-or-treating... I'm sure there's more, but whew!!!!
All of that reminds me that I need to get Enid's costume made.
Gerald and I got most of our Halloween decorations out. Enid played with the PotatoHead pumpkin pieces and set them out around a witch light cover like this. She got everything in place, including the hat on top of the witch's existing hat. By the way, the child knows left from right.

She's not too fond of some Halloween decorations we've seen in stores, but she really likes the jelly skull light I got on clearance at Target last year.

We already bought the trick-or-treat goodies... no candy this year. Oh... to give you all a good laugh... Enid said I was supposed to be a witch for Halloween and Daddy is supposed to be a leprechaun. He's gotta be the biggest leprechaun I've ever seen, but Enid doesn't seem to mind.
Her flu shot is just like last year... It left her with the snots and a low-grade fever. She's acting okay right now and is as wired as ever! I'm hoping it passes quickly... the snots and the hyperactivity!
We got some temporary tattoos at Walk America, and here's Enid sporting one. It's her first.

Today, she came home from preschool with a prize and certificate for being such a great helper. Ms Jamee said she just needs to use her "talking words" and not yell at the other kids while reminding them what to do. She has a bossy, big mouth, that's for sure! Oh... and she chose the prize (a glow-in-the-dark spider). Ms Jamee said it was "sooo Enid", and it sure is!

Last night while Enid finished dinner, I got a wild hair and made some white chocolate ghosties. We ate them for dessert after lunch today. Yum! I got the idea from Martha "Jailbird" Stewart, but hers were way fancier on lollipop sticks.

The yellow kitty came to visit yesterday at snack time. I think he originally crawled on top of the porch to get to a squirrel, but he quickly gave up and plopped down.

Wasabi was sleeping between my chair and the coffee table last night, and Enid covered him with an cover from the arm of my chair. He slept through it.

Both cats are fascinated with a lei I bought for $1 a while ago. Inari licks it, and Wasabi just tosses it around all the time. Anyone up for a feline luau?

Inari carries toys around in her mouth, and sometimes she hides them under the end table. Last night, I found her sleeping under there. She probably won't be able to fit under there much longer.
