Backtracking a Little - Sad Goodbye

I am finally getting caught up on some things, but no... the house is not exactly how I want it yet.

Enid's preschool had a private reservation for all of Sunset Park/Spray Park for the end-of-year picnic, so it was nice having a limit of how many families (especially kids) were there. It was not warm enough to let Enid play in the water (though lots of other kids did), but she had a great time anyway. Other than a handful of boys, she was one of the only kids that I saw playing on the climber the whole morning. In that regard, it's a strange bunch of families over all, but most everyone is very nice. I'm glad she had such wonderful teachers and loved school so much. She doesn't seem sad about leaving them, but she has said she wants a new school. All sorts of things are in the works, especially things that are free or inexpensive.

At the picnic, she wanted to ride the miniature train with Mrs. Debra, but there was always a line. Gerald and I finally went on the last ride of the day with her, and she rode the historic carousel (that FEMA money helped restore... I just shake my head in shame for them) twice... once with me and once with Mrs. Christy. There was popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs & chips, etc. Enid is not a fan of snow cones, that's for sure, but she scarfed down a hot dog like it was going out of style.

It was a nice way to end the school year.
