Reading Rainbow got the shaft.

Apparently, children need more instruction on how to read and not why you should read, so they canceled Reading Rainbow after 26 years. In my opinion, it’s just one more little step to taking away childhood. I mean, I’m not a huge fan of TV for young children, but replacing great TV with so-so TV really is a step in the wrong direction.
