Triangle Family Dentistry Plug

I am so glad we chose Triangle Family Dentistry! If you know anyone in this area, please refer them here.

All three of us had cleanings today. Enid finished first, and she just made herself at home. She wandered around the office a little watching Gerald and I, and she talked to everyone. They all love her there, and the front desk lady said they needed to hire her. haha I am so so so happy that she's not scared of going to the dentist and that she can go right in by herself.

We recently found out that both dentists there were computer engineers of some kind before becoming dentists. Both of them! The one we usually see, Dr. Boes, even has a masters degree in it! One of them, Dr. Baky, actually worked at Cisco! They both worked together at a company that folded, but one of their co-workers there had a brother that was a dentist. Apparently, he'd talk about his brother's flexible schedule etc, so they joked about going to dental school. Dr. Baky said today that he had no idea that Dr. Boes had actually gone to the same dental school until he saw him upon completion! How weird is that?!? That would be like Gerald hopping up after the past 10 years or so and going to dental school. Doubt that's going to happen.

On a very related note, my dental hygienist, Sumitha, was actually a dentist in India, and upon coming to America she had to return to college to become a hygienist. She speaks Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, basic Kannada and basic Arabic. She's also pretty dang knowledgeable about teeth. I don't doubt that she could do the job of an American dentist.

Oh, and I had to get my first ever filling today. It was really small on an end molar. Thank goddess Dr. Baky had a cancellation and fit me in. Sumitha did the prep work, and with my cleaning and briefly waiting for my filling, I was done in less than 2 hours.
