Further Audacity
This goes along with my previous post titled "Stupidity or Audacity?". Once again, I'm sitting here in the living room doing BIO homework and I hear the faucet outside turn on. Some dirty overly tanned man with a cigarette hanging out of the side of his mouth from the same homesite across the street was out there washing out a cooler jug thing. I just about flipped my wig on him, and then I managed to calm down enough to explain to him why I was so upset (that it had happened before). All he could say was "Sorry, I didn't know."
WHAT?!?!?! You didn't know you were trespassing in someone's yard stealing water from the side of their house?!?!?
He proceeded to rinse the damn thing out, because apparently he has no receptive language skills. So, I said "Do you mind not stealing any more?!?!" and he said "Sorry. I was just rinsing it out so it wouldn't smell in the back of the van." Wow. Just wow. My heart was racing and I was pacing, so I called Gerald and told him it happened again. He called Savvy's office AGAIN, and the lady said she'd contact the supervisor.
What just keeps floating through my mind is that I would never in a million years even consider for a second taking water from someone's house like that (unless I knew them and it would be perfectly okay). The thought wouldn't cross my mind. If I was really in need of water, I would just ring the bell and ask if they could spare a cup or something. What kind of person just walks right up in broad daylight and thinks it's okay? Is it because they assume no one is home?
If I find a cigarette butt in my yard, I am going to raise cane.
