June & July... Oh My! Oh My!

One Monday night while we were eating sushi at our beloved Akashi, Enid bit into some tamago and we heard a loud CRUNCH! Now, as you might know, tamago is basically sweetened omelet, so there shouldn't be any crunch involved. Well, somehow Enid bit down and loosened her tooth. When we checked it, the new one mysteriously appeared out of thin air. No joke. That tooth literally must have popped up over night. Gerald called the dentist because we were concerned of its placement, but they said unless it didn't push out the wobbly tooth within a week not to worry. Well a week passed by and that stubborn tooth didn't go anywhere. We pushed and pulled and nothing. So, we ended up in the dentists' office with Dr. Baky extracting the poor tiny thing. Enid did an excellent job sitting still, and the next morning the tooth fairy had brought her a little pink wooden pig and some colorful gemstones. A month later, she's getting another wobbly tooth, so we'll have to wait and see how it goes.

Remember that dry erase drawing of the bicycle? Well, here's Enid's newest creation that she insisted I photograph. She called it the "Alice in Wonderland Tea Set".

She also designed some wrapping paper for a birthday gift recently. The recipient seemed to greatly appreciate it, so Enid was proud.

Our nature table has been nice and summery lately. It is still a little neglected, but hopefully that will change soon.

During her latest visit with Grandma and Grandpa, Enid posed for photos at the Mill Mountain Zoo. I've never been, but for some reason she really loves it there. She was a little upset that a thunderstorm came rolling in just as they were about to ride the train this time, but she bought her very own little Mr. Nilsson (name courtesy of Pippi Longstocking) in the gift shop there instead.

Once again I leave you with kitty love from the past couple of months. Wasabi doesn't seem to mind Ebi at all, but Inari still chases her from time to time.
