Rince Go Hálainn & Other Enidness

Enid started Irish dance lessons with Mrs. Catrina yesterday. She runs the only non-competitive Irish dance school in this area Rince Go Hálainn, and that was very important to us. There are other schools that spend lots of time performing/competing and tons of money on traditional dresses. It's quite insane to me, but whatever floats their boats (and their wallets).

Enid has been extremely excited about having real Irish ghillies (soft shoes "straight from Ireland!") and she's been practicing again today. She told me earlier that she wants to keep doing it until she grows up, and she's thinking she might like to dance at Busch Gardens when she's old enough. Here's a quick shot I took by peaking in the door for a second.

Here's a pizza wheel Enid built. It even spins! She said that it's what the house elves at Hogwarts use down in the kitchen. It's actually a Harry Potter Lego piece with all of the "houses" on it for the sorting hat, but it is quite a clever idea.

A few days ago, we "caught" Enid on the screen porch trying to pump up her bouncy ball. She was wearing her daddy's Sloggers, so I just had to snap a photo!
