Christmas Recap 2010

Christmas morning, I woke up bright and early and in turn woke up Gerald. We went downstairs to get coffee started and the noise woke up Clayton. The girls still weren't waking up, so he went upstairs to wake them and tell them to wake Grandma and Grandpa. They ran up to the third floor to wake them and then came downstairs as quick as wink to see what Santa had brought. Let me tell you, with four extra people in the house and Santa's visit, the tree was flooded with presents.

Enid got the Quadrilla marble run she had asked for, along with several other goodies that she completely loved (check out that cat hat!). I told Gerald we must have done something right in raising her, because she was genuinely appreciative of every little thing she got, right down to socks and pjs. She was overcome with joy, no joke.

For breakfast Christmas morning, Enid made sure we lit the candle she had made. She was very proud.

Later that afternoon, the snow came. We ended up with about 7", but my family had a foot! Enid was gung ho to go straight out in it, and Caitlyn joined her not long after. They made snowballs, a snow castle, and who knows what else! Enid tried to slide down the little hill on a cardboard box, but it didn't work like last year. The snow smooshed right down under her.

It was super cold for a while, and there is still a little snow here and there in shady spots. The kitties have the right idea... snuggling up to stay warm. I don't think I've seen them head to head like this... well at least not often.
