Rain, Rain, Go Away...
For weeks we wanted it to rain and now with Tropical Storm Ernesto... enough already!
We finally got our first electric bill and it was $180!!! That seems like a lot compared to what we used to pay, but we found out part of the reason... we're on an electric co-op and they purchase electricity from other companies and distribute it to us. So, there are all sorts of weird things they charge for that I don't think most companies do. Oh well... after being here a year we can sign up for the average bill where we pay the same amount every month.
Enid is dying to type:

I hope this mess clears up over night, or at least most of it.... we really gotta get out of this house, even if it's just a walk to the park!

This is Gerald here, this is Grandma Ziegler's first post. "Ok-here goes. Gerald and Wendy asked that this site be a family contribution.
This is Grandma, G'ma, Mom and/or Debbra.
There is not too much to write about, at the moment.
I just finished a really pretty quilt pillow for Linda. She has put it in her guest room ,on the bed.
We have Chase spending the weekend with us, he is doing fine. As long as he can sit blindly in front of the computer for hours on end. No wonder he needs glasses. He can see fairly well with my glasses.
We went to see "The Wicker Man" yesterday. CLayton treated us to the movie. I enjoyed it, but am glad Clayton did not pay full price. Good movie for rental. We watched "Silent Hill" last night and I already knew the gist of the movie by the time the motorcycle cop caught up with the mom, after the accident. So...the highlights and the making of was pretty interesting.
For all you epicureans out there....Come and have dinner with us today. I am fixing one of my kids favorite meals....PORK AND SAUERKRAUT!**((?>!. The aroma is unforgettable, isn't?
Caitlyn has had her first spelling test last Friday. She received a grand 100. Getting her to study was another matter.
She hated to do that. Especially when I had her write the words five times. She actually only wrote them four times apiece. She said that as I had written them once, her four made five.
She is too literal sometimes.
Have to go."
