Prematurity

At Walk America, I picked up a button that says "1 in 8". As I was looking at it pinned onto my purse the other day, I realized that AT LEAST 3 kids in Enid's preschool class were premature, including her.

While at the Walk, we talked with the Division Director about her and her brother being premature about 45 years ago. She was pretty healthy, but her brother was carted over mountains and through the snow to get help. If it weren't for their parents knowing someone at a prominent hospital, they probably wouldn't have survived.

I just read this article from the Culpeper Times and wanted to share. It's mostly about our Walk's Ambassador Family.

It's all pretty amazing isn't, it?
