Is a little home customer courtesy too much to ask?

Why is it when someone walks up to your door to deliver something, they don't even bother reaching less than a foot to ring the bell or knock? Then when some technical type person comes into the yard (I don't mean meter reading routine stuff.) it's the same thing. They're in and out without you knowing, and they've probably marked the wrong thing, but you can't tell them because they're long gone (and unreachable by phone).

Are a few cars not a hint that someone is probably home?

Oh and I love this one... Let's ring the doorbell several times and knock repeatedly when we're selling something so the person will invite you in with open arms. Cool your jets, man. Seriously. If you weren't such a jerk about getting me to the door, I might give you a chance. .

Oh and I love it when you're supposed to sign for something and it even says so on the package, but they leave it anyway.

Should I go on?
