It's the 4th of July... my oh my.

I don't catch the kitties in as many weird situations as I used to, but this one needed sharing.

This past weekend, we had a family cookout. Mandy and Tim came, and after seeing the three kids together, I think Mandy was thoroughly convinced she's not having kids. Those three (mostly Enid with Patrick) can be quite rambunctious, that's for sure.

The next day, we went to Mini Putt Indoor Golf & Games. If any of you ever went to Putters, this place is almost exactly the same... partially due to the fact that it
IS the same equipment. Enid enjoyed it though, and the guy let her play for free! Her favorite parts were watching the strange skinny guy play Dance Dance Revolution at full speed and pinball. Each time after she did the first put, she'd move the ball right up beside the hole and hit it in.

Lately, we've had a few mild days with nice little breezes blowing. To me, that equals art outside. Sand art, that is. Aaahhhh... the wonders of Target's $1 Spot.

Last night, we went into Rocky Mount to watch the city's fireworks. We joined tons of others hanging out in the BB&T parking lot right down the road form the sports complex where the festivities were being held. Enid was exhausted and hadn't napped all day, but other than losing interest on and off, she did well. Needless to say, they were nowhere near as impressive as the ones in our neighborhood last year. There were weird pauses, and we kept saying "Is this the finale?" then they'd start up again. By the time they were
really over, we were like "Yeah whatever, let's go home." At least Enid got to see some in person again this year, this time in her pj's. Even as unimpressive they were, I got a few good shots.
