My Child is Officially a Weed
As an infant, Enid was diagnosed with the condition "failure to thrive". It was the main reason she was in the NICU so long (that and low birth weight is how she got SSI). We knew way ahead of time we'd be taking her home on oxygen with all the bells and whistles (literally), but she couldn't be discharged until she was eating better.
Now at 3 years 8.5 months old, she's gained an entire inch in about two months. The weight is still an issue, but I don't complain. I'm just glad she's not a chubber like so many American kids these days, and according to the doctors she's very healthy.
I believe she is the definition of a "skinny minnie".
