Lego Store Grand Opening & Yoda Master Builder Event

We arrived at the mall before the stores even opened because we were meeting Granny & PaPa there, but when we entered we saw immediately that there was no way we were going into the Lego store that day. Now, we've been into a nice big Lego store in northern VA. This is not even close, so I am still shaking my head at all of these people waiting in line. It must have been like that all day, because the line never went down the entire time we were in the mall (well after lunch). I don't think spending money to get some silly free stuff is worth this...

There was a line to wait in before you got into the line to get into the store. No joke. You'd think they were waiting to see George Lucas or even Frank Oz themselves!





We waited in a different line for only a few minutes in order to build 4 large bricks to help the Master Model Builder make the 8' tall Yoda.

Did I mention that Gerald has been a Lego Club member for a while? He even still has Lego sets some from his childhood.
