February... hey I'm catching up!

Here are a few photos from February. The first one is Enid hamming it up one morning after a late breakfast. She really wanted me to take her picture with Baby Violet for some reason. Aunt Deana, Samantha, and Patrick gave her that doll for her 1st birthday, but she didn't name her Baby Violet until this past year.

Valentine's weekend, we got another layer of snow, but the Candlemas celebration at Seedlings turned out pretty well. The kids exchanged homemade valentines (Enid & I made pretzel treats). You can see some of them below. We all dipped beeswax candles, and Mr. John made pancakes. It was a nice morning.

Here is a lantern Enid made at preschool by hammering holes into a can, and our candles from Candlemas. I put Enid's in another can to burn it. One of the other kids said it looked like a wrinkled witch's finger, but hers look better than most. Mine is the smaller one on the counter. Gerald did some weird experiment with doubling his wick, and it turned out quite large and lumpy.

Enid's valentine from us was this heart garland that I crocheted. It's hanging from the curtain rod in her bedroom now.
