the Carolina Garrison

Yesterday, Granny and I took the kids to meet Mandy in Wilson. We had great food (as always) at Sweet Maria's, including some Snickers brownies and sweet potato biscuits that we brought home for later. The main reason we went was the Carolina Garrison appearance at the Wilson Mall. It was hosted by the Hobby Shop, but they ended up gathering inside the movie theater for some photos. By the way, the Carmike there is completely digital and the only theater around here we go to now. The sound and picture quality is the best.

Enid was a little wary at first, and she never did get too close to anyone with a mask on. Samantha had to coax her into the first photo. She liked Princess Leia of course, and she gave Enid a tattoo and a hug. (That little girl in the Jawa costume was too cute.)

Being the Star Wars nut (practically since birth) that he is, Patrick was the most excited. He kept saying he
really wanted a photo with Darth Vader, but at first he wouldn't walk over to him. When Darth Vader heard us talking, he turned on his voice box and it said "It is futile to resist." It was perfect timing.

This is my favorite. I've always been partial to Storm Troopers of any kind (just like Nikko's older son, Chance).

I realized that I was having as much fun as the kids taking photos and watching them pose in Star Wars scenarios (I took several more than posted here.). I told Mandy that if we
do go to Comic-Con next year as we're planning, I'll need to buy extra memory for my camera!
