Enid at the Doctor's Office

Earlier this week, Enid had to go to the doctor with an unexplainable fever. Dr. Bondy checked her ears, nose, throat, and lungs, but found nothing. The nurse even did a rapid throat culture and something I've never heard of.... a swab to the nose to detect flu. Still nothing.

She's been on a strict "diet" of Xopenex in her nebulizer, Tylenol, a little Motrin, and some Zicam for good measure. Her fever is finally low-grade. All that remains is the snots. I'm glad she's feeling better, but boy has she been acting crazy! Fever makes her spaz out, that's for sure.

She's lost a little weight, which for her is bad because she's so skinny already. Now that she's on the mend, she should pick up the pounds again. Here are her stats for March 2008. Yes, she's a total skinny minny.

29 pounds : 19th percentile for weight
40 1/8 inches : 91st percentile for height

Oh yeah... a funny little story. The nurse was asking lots of questions about Enid's history and said she amazed she was doing so well for being a 2 pounder. "Your angels must have been looking out for you. Whatcha think?", she said to Enid. Enid replied something like, "I have two angels now... one on top of the TV and one in my bedroom." Enid carried the conversation on just like an adult, but she was talking about Granny's little resin Christmas angel and a tiny porcelain angel Mrs. Donna had given her a few weeks ago. You can always count on Enid to "talk big".
